The times are changing and so are we. Brand-new for 2005, our action-packed 216 Sunesta is the first in a new generation of deckboats from the industry leader.
Inch for inch, no boat with this centerline length sizes up to the remarkable 216 when it comes to storage space, versatility and legroom. Building on the 216's phenomenal low-speed stability, quick planing times and incredible tracking, we offer an optional custom wakeboard tower that will delight water sports enthusiasts of all ages.
As you'd expect, the 216 is all Chaparral- bow eye to prop nut. Look inside and you'll find the dual platforms, cockpit entertainment center, oversized ski locker, king-sized Bimini top and enclosed fiberglass head that makes Sunesta a true standout.
Equipped with a standard bow ladder and walk-thru access, the 216 is easy to board from the beach, dockside or for deepwater. Molded under-seat storage and an insulated ice chest are perfect for summertime fun. Richly padded gunwales with stainless safety hand rails on the deck provide comfort in ever-changing water conditions.
You'll enjoy a feeling of elegance, confidence and power at the helm. The compass is mounted in the driver's direct line of sight, and the two-tone dash is glare resistant. Glass lenses on our precision instrument panel won't fog or scratch. Illuminated rocker switches are clearly identified and backlit for safe operation when the sun goes down.
Mealtime is a delight on the well-equipped 216. The cockpit galley is conveniently situated right beside the passenger's swivel bucket seat and includes an ice chest sink, swivel faucet, a 12-volt receptacle for small appliances and a spacious storage area below. An optional removable cockpit table is available to round out the cockpit.
An extra not usually seen at this length, the easy-to-keep-clean enclosed head has a surprising amount of very comfortable sit-up headroom. Inside you'll find a porta-pottie, shelf space and a screened opening port for ventilation. A pump out porta-pottie is available as optional equipment. The enclosed compartment also doubles as a changing area.
